An analysis by MRG shows that medical imaging centers are turning to PACS as means to increase volumes while streamlining operations. Moreover, PACS vendors have started focusing more and more of their attention on the smaller imaging centers.

No real surprise with those results. It is unfortunate that increasing patient care was not mentioned as a reason for PACS, because in the end, should not that be the goal?
